Join us for breakfast, a demo, show 'n tell, door prizes, and 20% off your total purchase!

February's demo is how to make a pillow envelope. As usual, a breakfast by Nancy! The cost is $10 (some exclusions apply to the 20% off).

Learn the basics of working with wool!

Heather will teach you about fusing, thread choice, and the blanket stitch as you work on a small project. The cost is $30 plus supplies.

First (Annual?) Slow-Stitch Retreat!

Join us at the James Place Inn for a weekend of slow-stitching fun! We will have workshops on hand piecing, hand quilting, English paper piecing, Sashiko, embroidery, and applique. Plus free stitching time galore!

Check in to your room on Saturday morning, and get right to stitching! Snacks and lunch provided. We'll have mini-workshops throughout the afternoon, then dinner is on your own. Stitch as long into the night as you want, then retire to one of James Place's amazing rooms. Breakfast is served by James Place on Sunday morning, with more hand-stitching workshops throughout the day.

Reserve your room by calling James Place directly: (207) 865-4486. Tell them you are booking for Cotton Weeds' Slow-Stitch retreat and get a special room rate of $165 (plus tax; double occupancy).

Be sure also to call us here at Cotton Weeds to save your space for the retreat. The cost of the retreat (including all workshops, snacks, and Saturday lunch) is $50.

Sew, sew, sew all day long with us here at Cotton Weeds and finish the day with a fun quilt lecture.

Bring projects to work on while chatting the day away with other sewists. Lunch is included, as well as a historical quilt lecture by Kathy Kenny about ``Pins and Needles``.
The cost is $25.

Can't make it all day to sew but want to hear the lecture? Join us at 5pm!

Kathy Kenny will be bringing us the fascinating history of pins, needles, and pincushions. We'll hear about how pin storage varied through the years, why the tomato symbol is used for the pincushion, and all about the Festival of the Broken Needle! She will also be showcasing a variety of rare children's quilts. The cost is $15 to attend the lecture only.

Hand-stitch with us!

Bring any hand-stitch project and sew, chat, and be inspired by others. No charge to sit and relax with friends.
